About Rebelnetwork

Rebelnetwork is an independent, ad-supported hobby project: a growing collection of small, browser-based tools, counters, calculators, and interactive maps, built and maintained by one person in spare time.

Why This Site Exists

Most of the tools here started from a simple, specific need — converting a unit, checking a VAT amount, finding an AED on a map — that didn't need an app install, an account, or a cluttered page full of unrelated content to solve. Rebelnetwork collects that kind of tool in one place, built to load fast and get out of the way.

How the Tools Are Built

Every page runs directly in your browser using plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Calculations, generators, and counters do their work locally on your device wherever possible — nothing needs to be typed into a form and sent to a server just to do basic math or generate a password. The interactive maps pull location data from open sources like OpenStreetMap and official Dutch government datasets (PDOK, registered police statistics) rather than proprietary APIs.

How the Site Is Funded

Rebelnetwork runs on display advertising (Google AdSense). There are no accounts, subscriptions, or paid tiers — every tool on the site is free to use. Some pages use your browser's local storage to remember form values or saved data (like a habit streak or a subscription list) between visits; that data stays on your device and isn't collected or transmitted anywhere.

Accuracy and Limitations

These tools are built for everyday, practical use, not as a substitute for professional, legal, financial, or emergency advice. Map data reflects open community and government sources and may be incomplete or out of date; calculators use standard formulas but don't know your specific contract, tax situation, or circumstances. Always double-check anything that carries real financial, legal, or safety consequences.
